Chatuchak Weekend Market

December Sunday 10th, 2023. In the morning before we left, I shave the sides of my face. I promised AEW I would shave off my beard while I am in Thailand this year. A little snip snip after I woke up and now I am sporting a goatee. 

We spent about 5 hours looking at shops at Chatuchak Weekend Market and only say a small chunk of the market. I did not find the glass seed beads I was looking for. However I did find several Tibetan/Nepalese shops which had so many items for sale that I really wanted to buy. However, they are too expensive for me to buy everything I wanted. I will definitely be coming back to several of these shops for years to come.

I also bought swimming trunks, AEW bought a pair of shoes, we ate some Thai food for lunch and had Thai ice cream cones. Several other purchases includes, journal books, candles, snake vertebrae bracelets, skull bead malas, tshirts, Kali pendants, and more... AEW was not happy with my purchases. Not happy at all. In her opinion, I spent way too much

A lazy day

December Saturday 9th 2023. After spending the morning trying to transfer my food apps to the new Thai phone number, I walked around the area AEW is renting a little bit in the afternoon. I stopped a couple of times. Once at a 7-11 and stopped at another market to buy water as I is a little too hot for me.

AEW picked me up and took me to the shipping yard to visit with Banchong and the other people who work and stay there.

Later we got dinner at Uncle Mustache Steak Restaurant.

 After dinner we were supposed to go swimming. However, AEW has lost my shorts so all I can do is look at the pool while I sit in the heat.

Persian House dinner

December Friday 8th 2023. AEW and I took a taxi to the restaurant, Persian House. The traffic was terrible due to a festival that was going on, called Red Cross Fair. The taxi ride was 14 km and it took an hour. AEW was very tired and fell asleep on ride to the restaurant.

We ordered almost the same food as we did last year. It was incredibly delusional. 

We walked around the town and saw a Kali Statue near the Hindu temple for Sri Maha Mariamman temple. The founder's belief of Shakti which mainly dedicates to Goddess Mariamman. The Hindu Goddess Mariamman or Mother Mari is God Siva's queen. She is the goddess of mercy and elegance when she is Mother Mari's form.

Sushiro Lunch

December Friday 8th 2023

Lunch with Mint at Shushiro, and shopping in the mall.

After lunch I got a smoothie at Boost. Mint took me back home and I took a nap before dinner.

Peking Chinese restaurant dinner

It's December 7th, 2923. AEW and I had Chinese for dinner. Pork stuffed spicy peppers and scezuan peppercorn fish. 

Day 1 and 2, the Flight to Bangkok

Tuesday Morning December 5th ET to Thursday Morning December 7th Bangkok time.

My plane trip started at Columbus Ohio (CMH), which stops at Doho airport in Qatar with a final destination of Bangkok, Thailand (BKK).

In Columbus I had a pleasant check in with Joy and with the TSA precheck I've had another pleasant experience with US security. It did cost $100 to bring a second piece of checked luggage.
